While it will be a difficult and challenging time for the Durant Lady Lions to continue with the season through the loss of their head coach, known to be a godly and loving man, that challenge will lessened somewhat with the continuation of the family name in the lead spot. And with Coach Tony Robinson, someone who is familiar to the team.
Will Robinson died earlier this week in a tragic vehicle accident. He lost his life trying to save his children, who were also in the vehicle.
The season was set to continue on Friday, Jan. 3, with a home game against Ardmore, but that game has been canceled. The next game will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7, as the Lady Lions and Lions host McAlester.
