Tommy Jack Hestily of Bokchito, Oklahoma passed on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on Tuesday, November 18, 1941 in Silver City, New Mexico to Roxie (Brigman) and Buck Ollo Hestily.
Tommy proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. He later went on to college and received his Master of Education in Administration. In 1972 he moved to Oklahoma, previously residing in California. He married Paula J. Knight on December 6, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He enjoyed farming and working on his classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie (Brigman) and Buck Ollo Hestily; sons, Kirk Hestily and Erik Hestily.
Survivors include his loving wife, Paula Hestily of the home; sons, Mark Hestily and wife Ann of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ryan Hestily and wife Tara of Calera, Oklahoma; daughters, Stacy Jacobi and husband David of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jackie Link and husband Danny of Pflugerville, Texas, Lolly Cole and husband Matt of Ada, Oklahoma; stepson, Brenton Knight and wife Melanie of Durant, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Lisa Peterson and husband Greg of Bokchito, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren as well as other extended family and friends.
A visitation service will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Gordon Center, 305 N 2nd Ave. in Durant, Oklahoma. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Peterson, Zach Hestily, Logan Hestily, Sam Hestily, Hayden Hestily, Nash Hestily, Jason Link, Riley Link, and Cael Cole.
No funeral services will be held.
