Tommy Bridges

Tommy Bridges, a resident of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on January 1, 2022, at the age of 71. He was born in Mead, Okla., on August 18, 1950, to Oliver Tom Bridges and Lois May (McBride) Bridges. Tommy married his beloved Jewell Feltman in Sherman, Texas on September 20, 1998.

Tommy worked at the Holiday Inn for many years. He was a member of the Trinity Life Church in Kenefic. Tommy had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. He kept his yard neat and tidy, and enjoyed mowing other people’s yards also. Tommy cherished his family and looked forward to spending time with them. He had an open loving heart and loved he especially loved his dogs.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his stepchildren, Ernest and Lisa Evans of Okmulgee, Okla.; siblings, Patsy Riter and husband Paul of Durant, Okla., Loy Bridges and wife Carol of Mead, Okla., Nancy Smith and husband Vernon of Silo, Okla., Peggy Bridges of Durant, Okla. and Linda Davidson and husband Paul of Durant, Okla.; sister-in-law, Lisa Harris and husband Rick of Durant, Okla., and sister-in-law, Pat Bridges of Calera, Okla.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Bridges; parents, Oliver and Lois Bridges; brothers, Milton Lee Bridges and Richard Dale Bridges, and some nieces and nephews.

Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.

A funeral service in his honor will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, 2021, at the Trinity Life Church in Kenefic, Okla. with Brother Randy Tadlock and Brother Tom Golden officiating. His final resting place will be the Crystal Cemetery in Lane, Okla. with Dino Bridges, Tommy Lynn Bridges, JC Smith, Chester Smith, David Bridges, and Jordan Smith as his pallbearers.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
