Todd Lance Long “Nunny”, 49 of Durant, Okla. passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 at his home in Durant. Todd was born on Sept. 9, 1970 in Durant to William Bill and Beverly Sue (Elix) Long.
Todd graduated high school in Durant and attended both Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Murray State College where he achieved several degrees. He was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation with Creek affiliation and worked for Choctaw Nation as a casino slot attendant for many years.
He was a devoted sports fan and he enjoyed watching OU football, basketball, and lady’s softball. His favorite pro teams were the Cleveland Indians baseball, Cleveland Cavaliers basketball, and the Cleveland Browns football. He loved to collect several things relating to sports teams and Godzilla movies. He always was looking forward to the next super hero movie that was coming out. He enjoyed music and being around his friends. Most of all, Todd loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents.
Todd is survived by his sister, Leigh Long “Lee-Lee”; brothers: Vince Long “Chito” and Vance Long “Osi”; step father, Mike Ghadianloo; aunts, Gwen Sissy Elix, Laura Elix, Liz Reeder, Tracey Elix and Tammy Elix and friend Wayne; cousin, Sonya Orange; niece, Shannon Long; nephew, Eli Long and many other family and close friends.
Services will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Todd was laid to rest at the Ravia Cemetery, located in Ravia, Okla. with Noe Lopez, Monty Taylor, Hubert Johnson, Keith Coley, Ellis Scott and Jeremy “Bear” Tohnika serving as pallbearers; honorary pallbearer, Eli Long.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
