Thieman Lee Watkins, Sr., 69 died Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Denison, Texas.
Mr. Watkins found great joy in woodworking and mechanics, spending countless hours building, repairing, and creating with his hands. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family creating lasting memories with those he loved the most.
Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his mother, Elly Joy Blesdoe; father, Tom McCarty; brother, Bobby Watkins and sister, Lora Ann Joiner
Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife of the home, Debra Watkins of Caddo, Okla.; sons: Billy and Athena Watkins of Durant, Okla., Thieman and Dayanna Watkins of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; Jason and Ashley Norton of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Wendy and Matt Stringer of Gainesville, Texas; sisters: Tana Bledsoe of Durant, Okla., Emily George of Ardmore, Okla., Clara *Dusty* Maynard of Moyers, Okla., Pamela Jean Wild of Kingston, Okla., Jane Cavett of Ardmore, Okla.; brothers: Freddy McCarty of Cartwright, Okla., William Wayne Watkins of Mead, Okla., Randy Lee Watkins of Caddo, Okla.; special friends: Ken Golden of Caney, Okla., Jim Bledsoe of Caddo, Okla., and David and Janice Williams of Durant, Okla.; granddaughters: Kindall Watkins-Dellinger and Ethan of Durant, Okla., Brandi and Rico Rodgruez of Durant, Okla., Ally, Delaney and Melody Watkins of Wesley Chapel Fla., Mallorie and Caitlynn Norton of Durant, Okla., Jordon Wyatt of Tishomingo, Okla., Amber and Austin Cronin of Sherman, Texas and Moranda and Mollie Mauldin of Pottsboro, Texas; 14 ½ great-grandchildren; and countless friends and family who loved him dearly.
A memorial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Browns Funeral Home in Durant, with Russell Horn officiating.
