Theresa spent most of her life in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Pasadena High School. She married the love of her life, Gary Dean Powell on April 6, 1990. They had 28 wonderful years together. She was a member of Believers Church in Durant. Theresa was a homemaker and when she wasn’t shopping QVC, she enjoyed making jewelry, and loving on her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, J.B. Seabourne; grandmother, Nettie Lee; grandfather, Harley Yates and grandmother Clara Yates.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Gary D. Powell of the home; parents, L.A. and Bonnie Seabourne of Palestine; son, Joshua W. Joslin and wife Emily of LaPorte, Texas; daughter, Shanna R. Cortinas and husband Matthew of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Brittney Powell of Durant; stepson Josh MacNaughton and wife Tatum; sister, Kathy Wiley of Palestine; brother, Chad Brogan and wife Laura of Huffman, Texas; grandchildren, Haylee Joslin, Eric Cortinas, Dylan Joslin, Joslin Cortinas, Kennedy Joslin, Landyn Cash, Taylor McDaniel, Grady MacNaughton, and Sterling MacNaughton along with many other extended family members and dear friends.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at Believers Church in Durant with Dr. Michael J. Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Matthew Cortinas, James Wiley, Michael Goodlow, Cole Brogan, Chad Brogan, and Chris Thomas serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Yates and Terry Minton.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
