Thelma Marie Bush, 84, of Colbert, Okla., passed away, with her family at her side, on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at Southern Pointe Living Center, Colbert, Okla. Thelma was born on June 14, 1937 in Woodville, Okla. to Ruel and Elnora Cobb Blankinship.
She was a graduate of high school and formerly was employed in production by Levis/Diaper Jeans Company. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, James Bush and Elizabeth of Colbert, Okla.; step-daughter, JoAnn Hughs of Sherman, Texas; her four sisters; Glenda Stelzmant and Kirk of Kingston, Okla., Jane May of Duncan, Texas, Beatrice Beal and Billy Joe of Colbert, Okla., Dorothy Holly of Kingston, Okla.; her brother, Jerry Blankinship and Sue of Woodville, Okla.; two grandchildren: Jason Bush and Stephen Bush; numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruel and Elnora Blankinship; her husband, James Franklin Bush in 2012; her step-son, James Lowe; four brothers, Troy Wade, Lloyd B., Almon and Donald Blankinship.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Garden of Memory Cemetery Pavilion, Colbert, Okla. with Pastor Raymond England officiating.
Family and friends visitation will be held one hour prior to service, 1 – 2 p.m. at American Funeral Service Chapel, Colbert, Okla.
