DURANT – Growth in business – and in equipment and staff – prompted a relocation for Texoma Engraving a few months back.
The business can now be found across town from its former location on Evergreen. Texoma Engraving is now located at 3509 W. Arkansas St., directly south of the Sonic restaurant on Highway 70/Main Street.
Kevin and Susan Chalk’s operation takes care of engraving on many format, as well as screen printing and more.
“We needed a larger space to get all of our equipment and all of our employees into the same location,” Susan Chalk said.
Susan has been in the Durant area since coming to attend school at Southeastern in the mid 90’s. She met her husband here and the family has been a fixture in the area since then. They opened Texoma Engraving in 2014.
“We were looking at a product that we were selling and we decided that we wanted to make this product also,” Chalk said. “That was engraving. And when we started that, we decided to take care of the full aspect for teams, with jerseys and more – start to finish.
“We’ve started saying: One Stop Team Shop.”
Texoma Engraving does engraving for trophies, plaques and medals, but also engraves on wood, glass and more.
And with spring sports time coming around, the business also does jerseys for soccer, softball and baseball.
Chalk also said that while they engrave on anything, screen printing is a big part of what they do. And not only for the players, but also for the fans.
“Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles – we take care of the family. We have stadium and bag chairs. We can personalize those seating options, too.
“And if you need one birthday t-shirt, or an individualized, personalized t-shirt, we can take care of that, too. We can make from one to thousands.”
The building is also home to the second location of Hub Club Nutrition.
“That’s the Herbalife protein shakes and energy teas,” Chalk said. “Justin (Farrell) runs that location and we want to invite everyone to come by and to see him also.”
The relocation and growth of Texoma Engraving is another sign of the progress in business in Durant.
