Texas man sent to hospital after being thrown from truck by tornado on Wednesday

MARSHALL COUNTY – The tornado that touched down in Madill on Wednesday took its toll on more than one driver.

Benjamin Ordaz, 20, of Gordonville, Texas, was driving a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup and traveling eastbound  on Oklahoma Highway 99C when the truck was swept away by the tornado landing 265 feet west of U.S. Highway 377, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Ordaz was ejected from the vehicle approximately 30-40 feet. He was transported by Air Evac to Plano Medical Center and admitted in critical condition with head, legs, arms & trunk internal injuries.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Marshall County EMS.
