Terry Risner, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 11, 2023. Terry was born on March 22, 1957, in Durant, Okla., to Wendell and Marie Risner. On July 9, 1979, Terry married the love of his life Joyce (Grove) Risner. He worked in the trucking field. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and roping.
Terry is preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Joyce, of the home; son, Bryce Risner and spouse Torri Johnston; daughter, Tera Lester and husband Torrey Lester; son, Chance Risner and spouse Summer Heck; parents, Wendell and Marie Risner; brothers, Jerry Risner, Jackie Risner, and wife Tracey Risner; grandchildren: Colby Cummins and fiancée Skyler White, Caleb Cummins, Maverick Lester, Bella Lester, Rainey Lester, and Chase Risner; great-grandchild, Oaklynn Cummins; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. for visitation at Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Doshier, Roger Hedgecock, Eddie Crosby, Allen Stewart, John Cummins, brother Kerry Groce, and Buch Heflin.
