Tanesha Kay Robinson, of Bokchito, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 53. She was born on March 5, 1972, in Durant, Oklahoma, to J.R. Varner and Kathy Jean (Manners) Varner. Tanesha married Kelly Robinson on August 2, 1991 in Blue, Oklahoma.
Professionally, Tanesha dedicated two years of service as a deputy at the Bryan County Treasurer’s Office. Her coworkers became an extended family, appreciating her hard work and positivity she brought to the office every day. Her interests reflected her vibrant spirit. She had a passion for crafting, which allowed her to express her creativity and share her talents with those she loved. Tanesha cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.R. Varner, her grandparents, William and Dorothy Varner, and her mother-in-law, Regina Robinson.
Family was the cornerstone of Tanesha’s world. She is survived by her husband, Kelly Robinson of Bokchito, Oklahoma, her two daughters, Taylor Johnson and her husband Wayde, and Ashlynn Eiler and her husband Josh, both of Blue. Her legacy lives on with her grandchild, Oaklynn Eiler. She is also survived by her mother, Kathy Barton, and her husband, William “Buddy,” of Sulphur, Oklahoma, her brother Mike Varner and his wife Temple of Blue, her father-in-law, Dean Robinson of Blue, her sister-in-law, Kim Shannon and her husband Jeremy of Calera, Oklahoma, and her brother-in-law, Kasey Robinson of Blue. She also leaves behind her nephew, Jaron Varner, and she held a special place in her heart for her numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends, as well as special family members Eleigha Ledford of Calera, and Courtney Stark of Bokchito.
Family Hour will be Friday, April 18, 2025, from 7-8 p.m., at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate Tanesha’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Rock Creek High School gym with Landon Jestis officiating.
