Silo scores six in the first on the way to state semifinal win

OKLAHOMA CITY – The top-ranked Rebels took an early lead and went on to secure a place in the state championship game again.

Silo defeated Cashion, 13-1, in five innings and will move on to play for the Class 2A state championship on Saturday.

Easton Ford had a strong morning at the plate for the Rebels. He went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI and scored three times.

Sawyer Reddick opened up the scoring on the day with a single and also had two RBI. He was 2-for-3. Kyler Proctor had a pair of RBI, as well.

Delton Roberts started and earned the win in 2.0 innings of work, striking out two and giving up only hit.

Charlie Gardner struck out five in 2.0 innings and Ford closed out the game on the mound in the final inning.

Silo is now heading for its 10th consecutive state final. The Rebels will take on the winner of Dale and Oktaha at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Shawnee High School.
