The Patriot continues with the weekly feature, #ShopCalera, highlighting businesses around the Calera area. With construction starting soon that will disrupt the normal flow of traffic through the area and have other challenging effects on the town, it is important to keep our local businesses and organizations at the forefront of our minds and support our towns and county during this time and beyond.

Today’s featured business: Red River Tag Agency. Owner/agent Rhonda Short has been an agent since 2002 and moved from Colbert to Calera in 2008.
“I made the move to Calera so that we would be more centrally located in the county,” Short said.
The business, which has seven employees, has been in its current location at 711 N. McKinley Ave. for three years.
“We do auto registration, titling, driver’s licenses, state-issued ID’s – anything to do with your auto or driver’s licenses.”
Short said the agency has a family atmosphere.
“We are a family here and we would love for our family to be able to serve your family,” Short said
