Shirley Ann (Grimes) Ellis, of Armstrong, Okla. passed from this life on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born on Thursday, Nov. 21, 1940, in Alice, Texas, to Ulis Samuel and Anna (Blaschke) Ashcraft. 
She was a longtime resident of Armstrong, Okla.
She was an avid bowler and collected stamps. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulis Samuel and Anna (Blaschke) Ashcraft; husband, William “Andy” Ellis; her children, Lafonda Wilkerson, Bill Ellis Jr; grandson, Patrick; brother, David Ashcraft; brother-in-law, James Wilkerson and wife Regina; sister, Dora Ashcraft; great-grandchildren, Christopher Wilkerson and Docia Wilkerson.
Survivors include her children, Richard Grimes of Denison, Texas, Rachel Denise Grimes of Durant, Okla.; Verna Harris and husband Raymond of Caddo, Okla.; Gaylon Ellis and wife Pam of Kenefic, Okla.; grandchildren, Chris Wilkerson of Durant, Okla., Amber Grimes and Travis Shank of Oak Grove, Mo., Chris Grimes and wife Stephanie of Pottsboro, Texas, Haley Harris and fiancé Alex Munden of Caddo, Okla., and Katie Harris of Caddo, Okla.; nieces and nephews, Susan Waldo and Steve of Moore, Okla., Demetra McBrayer and husband Nick of Newark, Del.; sister, Mary Hillard of Durant, Okla.; five great-grandchildren as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 at Mead Cemetery, Mead, Okla. with Monty Wood officiating.
