Sherry Norris

Sherry Dawn Norris, 62 of Durant, Okla., passed away on Sept. 11, 2021, in Durant. Sherry was born on Jan. 1, 1959, to Thelmer Leo and Bertie Jean (Sims) Kellam.

Sherry graduated from Caddo Public Schools and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She married Robert Norris on July 9, 1977, at Armstrong Baptist Church and to this union was born two children, Jason and Whitney.

Sherry worked as an accountant where she excelled and was exceptionally knowledgeable. Sherry and Robert were faithful members of Fairview Baptist Church. Sherry loved to travel, decorating, hosting holiday parties, and she treasured the time she spent with her family and dear friends.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Kellam.

Loved ones left behind to carry on her legacy are her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Robert Norris of the home; son, Jason Norris of Littleton, Colo.; daughter, Whitney Brewer and husband Derek of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren, Rowen Brewer and Jaclyn Brewer; siblings, Gary Kellam, Doug Kellam and wife Shelly, Carla Robbins and husband Gary and Brett Kellam and wife Debra and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Bill Ledbetter of Fairview Baptist Church will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
