Sherry “Sissy” Denise Ratcliff of Durant, Okla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 in Calera, Okla., at the age of 67. She was born on Dec. 2, 1952 in Wichita, Kan., to Johnny Arthur Ratcliff and Abilene (Harjo) Ratcliff.
A longtime resident of Bryan County, Sherry graduated from Caddo High School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed watching television, playing cards, board games, reading the Bible, listening to music, doing puzzles, word-searches, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Abilene Ratcliff and her grandparents Nora and John McGowen and WT and Lydia Ratcliff.
Survivors include her sisters: Terri Murray of Durant, Okla., and Brenda Stallion and husband Gary of McKinney, Texas; brothers: Phillip Ratcliff and wife Suzanne of Davidson, Okla., Allen Ratcliff and wife Kim of Denison, Texas, Morris Ratcliff and wife Laura of Denison, Texas, Curtis Ratcliff and wife Julie of Durant, Okla.; children she helped raise and thought of them as her own: Krissy Turner of Durant, Okla., Matthew Tucker and wife Sarah of Haltom City, Texas, Tiffany Roper of Durant, Okla., and Jake, Jenna, and Joni Stallion all of McKinney, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, plus great nieces and nephews and extended family members and dear friends.
Services for Sherry were held on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant. Interment is at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
