Sherman Kelly Love of Caddo, Okla., passed from this life on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born on Saturday, December 30, 1939 in Caddo, Okla., to Ellis James and Ruth Eller (Whisenhunt) Love. 
He was a longtime resident of Caddo. He played basketball in school and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a welder for over 50 years and worked for Peabody Gallion, Sundowner Trailers for many years. Then he began his own welding in Caddo called Kelly’s Welding.
He enjoyed hunting and shooting a bow. He was the Best Long Bow shooter around and he won many tournaments. He also enjoyed fishing, reading and country music.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis James and Ruth Eller (Whisenhunt) Love; wife Gaylene Love; daughter Debra Love and infant grandson Jackson.
Survivors include his son, James Love and wife Molly of Caddo, Okla.; daughter, Aundrea Boyd and husband Wade of Caddo, Okla.; grandsons: James “Jamie” Love and wife Esther of Durant, Okla., Jesse Love and wife Tracy of Calera, Okla., Justin Boyd and wife Jackie of Durant, Okla., Jacob Boyd, Jaden Boyd, Johnathan Boyd, Michael Love, Jasper Boyd all of Caddo, Okla.; granddaughters: Kaylee Boyd, Kirstin Boyd, Miley Boyd, Amanda Boyd; great-grandchildren: Lucas Love, Lydia Love, Levi Love, Sophia Boyd, Kayson Boyd, Collin Boyd, Jocelyn Boyd; sister, Mary Jayne Hall and husband Danny of Caddo, Okla., as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla., with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
