Shayton LaPrince Ruvell King was born Tuesday, January 29, 1985 to Sandra Stevenson King and Johnny Harris in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 38.
Shayton attended Tishomingo schools. He spent his entire life in Tish, he would let you know quickly, “I ain’t going nowhere”. He loved small town living.
Shayton married Jessica and to this union four children were born: little Shay, Keandre, Alicia, and Katie. His kids were his world!
Shay was a dedicated employee for the Chickasaw Nation, spending 16 years at Gold Mountain Casino. He was an exemplary boss, highly thought of and respected by those he worked with.
When he was not working or sleep, he enjoyed playing video games with his buddies, watching sports, especially football, he was a loyal Vikings fan! He also looked forward to their “fantasy football” season, something he shared with his brother, well brothers. He was known to talk a little noise and take every opportunity to rag on LeBron! He will be truly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Shay was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ruvell Stevenson; his paternal grandparents, Virginia Harris Cantley and Troy Cantley and uncle Troy Harris.
Shay leaves to cherish his memories his four children, his mother Sandra, his father Johnny, his sister Kanesha / Martin, his brother Johnny /Brittney, nieces, and nephews, grandmother Jewell Stevenson several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
