Scott graduated from Colbert High School in 1990. After high school Scott worked several different professions which included machining, field service technician, real estate agent, and building spec homes. He enjoyed volunteering his time as a Calera Police Reserve Officer, then in 2008 he was chosen to be Calera’s first School Resource Officer where he also began the D.A.R.E program. He continued this profession where he enjoyed working with the students and staff.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Bryant, Sr.; brother, Kenneth Bryant, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Mack and Irene Bryant; maternal grandparents, Clifton Hyde and Ray and Annie Owens; and mother-in-law, Laurel McDonald.
He is survived by his wife, Macy of the home; step-son Trey Hill of Calera, Okla.; mother, Regina Bryant of Durant, Okla.; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and John Carey of Durant, Okla.; nephews, Guy Carey of Durant, Okla., David Bryant of Calera, Okla., and Ryan Clark of Warner Robins, Ga.; nieces, Anna Carey, Emma Carey, and Mila Tuttle all of Durant, Okla.; father-in-law, Ronald McDonald of Calera, Okla.; step-mom, Kay Melton-Bryant of Durant, Okla.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynnette and Kevin Tuttle of Durant, Okla.; and best friends, James and Sherrie Varner of Calera, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, at the Calera High School Gymnasium with Bro. Jacob Toews and Bro. Greg Thralls officiating. Scott will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera. Serving as pallbearers will be John Carey, Guy Carey, Don Hyde, Jr., Trey Hill, Kevin Tuttle, and James Varner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.

My prayers are with this entire family. Martin and I knew Scott for many years and loved him so much. Heaven gained an angel and we lost a friend. Scott, give Martin a hug for me. He went home to be with Jesus in October of 2020. Love and prayers to all of you!
