Sandra Carol (Robinson) Mullens was born on January 7, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Richard Von and Juanita Leora (Sellers) Robinson. Sandra passed from this life on December 27, 2023, in Durant, Okla., at the age of 72.
Sandra attended Durant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She married William “Edly” Mullens on January 30, 1969, in Bonham, Texas. They were blessed with 46 years of marriage until Edly’s passing on April 25, 2015. She was a member of Bryan County RSVP and Beta Sigma Phi. She attended Armstrong Baptist Church and Blue River Fellowship Church. She enjoyed ceramics, hunting arrowheads, and working crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was her loving family, especially her two grandsons.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Edly Mullens; fathers, Richard Robinson and George Armstrong, Sr.; and brothers, Dewayne Robinson, George Armstrong Jr., and Glenn Armstrong.
Sandra is survived by her mother, Juanita Robinson; children, Brian Lee Mullens and Bridggette Hambrick and husband Casey; grandsons, William “Huck” and Casey “Hagen” Hambrick; siblings, Sheila Risner, Jamie McBride, Kelly Silvera, Rick Robinson, Jeana Heffernan, Scott Armstrong, David Armstrong, and Allen Armstrong; brother-in-law, Billy J. “BJ” Mullens and wife Lisa and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Armstrong Baptist Church. Pastor Monty Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Willam “Huck” Hambrick, Casey “Hagen” Hambrick, Michael Risner, Shannon McBride, Tucker Rumer, Adrian Reed, Skylar Robinson, and Joseph Silvera serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brock Rumer, Brayden Reed, Daniel McBride, Braxton Silvera, Ryan Robinson, Spencer Mullens, Justin Mullens, Chris Kennedy, J.T. Kennedy, William Ethan Mullens, Dustin Mullens, Kendall Kennedy, David Mullens, Jake Allen, and Shawn Buchanan.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-7 p.m.
