Sammy Dee Phillips of Bennington entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born on April 6, 1943 in Hugo, Okla. to Samuel Donald Tonubbee and Frances Irene Tonubbee Anderson.

A lifelong resident of Bryan County, Sammy graduated from Durant High School. She married the love of her life, Bobby Phillips on June 14, 1961. The couple spent over 57 wonderful years together. Sammy was a dearly loved mother who stayed at home, and devoted her time to taking care of her family. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito and loved sewing, quilting, and doing crafts.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Samuel Tonubbee and Frances Tonubbee Anderson; step-father, J.T. Anderson and son, Robert Phillips.

Loved ones left to cherish Sammy’s memory are her loving husband Bobby Phillips of the home; daughters, Kim Phillips of Durant, Okla. and Michelle Holloway and husband Duane of Bokchito, Okla.; grandchildren, Stephanie Morris and husband Chad of Prosper, Texas, Dustin Phillips of Bokchito, Okla., Jennifer Wolf and husband Dustin of Durant, Okla.; Whitney Dunegan and husband Eric of Bokchito, Okla., Dakota Holloway and wife Brandie of Durant, Okla., and Reagan Holloway of Bokchito, Okla.; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Tonubbee and wife Pat of Bennington, Okla. and Judy Parks of Durant, Okla.; along with other extended family members and dear friends.

Services to honor Sammy’s life will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito with Pastor Ryan Perry and Bro. Ross Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery with Ricky Tonubbee, Tubby Smith, Brandon Phillips, Chad Morris, Wayne Phillips and Dustin Wolf serving as pallbearers.
