DURANT – One of Bryan County’s local stores is providing customers and more with an opportunity to give to the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Business presented by Kiamichi Tech.

Rugged Earth Outfitters, located in Briarwood Shopping Center, is receiving donations for the local DAV, Chapter No. 26.

Alyssa Springer, store manager, said they want to help because there is a need and it won’t stop when the holidays end.

“We are taking donations for the DAV of Bryan County,” Springer said. “Anything from our store is always accepted, but they don’t have to purchase from here. We will accept anything new and in the original packaging.

“And we’re actually partnering with them all year long.”

People who want to help can bring something in or can simply shop there in the store and bring it to the box.

Rugged Earth Outfitters in Durant is at 915 W. Main St. and is open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p..m. on Sunday.
