Roy Dean Tolley of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the age of 71. He was born on Saturday, December 22, 1951 in Denison, Texas to Alexander Dean and Minnie Ethel (Hudson) Tolley.
He was a longtime resident of Bryan County. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines and was of the Baptist faith.
He worked with his family as a bricklayer. He enjoyed doing things with his hands and would craft many things made using either leather or wood. He also enjoyed cutting trees, gardening and country music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Dean and Minnie Ethel (Hudson) Tolley; siblings, Agatha Davis, Jimmy Lee Tolley, Mildred Duckworth, Elbert Tolley, Anna Tolley, James Dale Tolley and Linda Tolley.
Survivors include his children Brandon Tolley of Denison, Texas, Michael Nix and wife Lisa of Howe, Texas, Rusty Tolley of Louisiana, Christie Tolley of Louisiana, Jason Tolley of Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashley Nix of Howe, Texas, Randle Nix of Howe, Texas; great-grandchild, Rylee Ratcliff of Howe, Texas; sister, Becky Crawford of Kilgore, Texas; nephew, Brian Crawford of Arkansas as well as other extended family.
Cremation services have been selected.
