Robert Louis Zachry of Durant, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022. Robert was born on September 24, 1940, to Wylie Louis Zachry and Vivian (Prentice) Zachry in Durant, Okla. He married Sandra Tyree on January 19, 1962, Bryan County, Okla.
Robert was a car salesman and owned Zachry’s Used Cars. He loved to fix up cars and work on them. He had a passion for cars, tractors, and motorcycles. He was a member of the Blast from the Past Car Club. Robert also enjoyed gardening and loved sausage, biscuits and gravy, and apple fritters.
He leaves behind many family members who will cherish his memory. Surviving Robert are his children: son, Gary Zachry and wife Sara of Cobb, Okla., son, Randall Louis Zachry of Durant, Okla. and daughter Robin Zachry and Garfield Garcia of Durant, Okla. Other family members include his brother, Roger Zachry and wife Patsy of Calera, Okla.; grandchildren: Lacey Ash (David) of Mead, Okla., Lewis Zachry of Cobb, Okla., Tyler Usry of Caddo, Okla., Danielle Zachry of Durant, Okla., Dylan Usry of Durant, Okla., and Cole Feltman of Blue, Okla.; great-grandchildren: Marick Zachry, Nolen Zachry, Ramiel Zachry, and Naomi Usry, as well as several great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Janie Zachry and brother-in-law Charlie Tyree.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wylie Louis Zachry and Vivian (Prentice) Zachry, brother Ronnie Zachry, and son Bobbie Zachry.
Pallbearers are Lewis Zachry, Donnie Zachry, Mark Zachry, Shorty St. John, Marvin, and Matthew Luton.
Family visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, July 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel. Burial will be immediately following the service at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home at 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant, Okla.
