Rebecca Djurdjevic, 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in her home. Rebecca was born Thursday, October 3, 1957 in Cardwell, Missouri to William Russell McCarty and Virginia (Watson) McCarty. 
Rebecca grew up in Cardwell, Mo., and has lived in Calera the past 27 years. As a young girl, she picked cotton and worked as a homemaker most of her adulthood. Rebecca was saved at the age of 7 and had a relationship with God. She enjoyed baking and was a very good cook, her son Bobby said she made the best Dutch apple pie. Rebecca also enjoyed taking her kids fishing and camping. She loved spending time with her family and get-togethers for a cookout.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda Williams and Roberta Jackson; and brothers, Adam McCarty and William McCarty.
She leaves behind her daughters, Maygin Smith of Durant, Okla., and Kristy McCarty of Calera, Okla.; sons, Joe McCarty and his wife, Tesla of Henryetta, Okla., and Bobby McCarty and his wife, Debbie of Calera; grandchildren Adam McCarty, Hayley Lusford, Amy Noland, Marcus Reeves, Harley Lunsford, Damien McCarty, Sadie McCarty, Jade McCarty, C.J. Bledsoe, Talitha Dunman and Allon Dunman; great-grandkids, Violet Noland, Donald Noland and Madison Hill; brothers, Billy McCarty of Cardwell, Mo., David McCarty of Calera, Okla., Ricky McCarty and his wife, Barbara of Calera, Okla., and Jack McCarty of Durant, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews and good friends. 
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Rose Hill Cemetery pavilion with Rev. David Ervin officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Reeves, Joe McCarty, Adam McCarty, Will Smith, Jesus Diaz and Damien McCarty.
