DURANT – The Greg Phillips insurance agency is starting the new year in a new location.

Phillips and his staff have completed the move and are open for business at 618 Bryan Drive in Durant.
They worked through the first week of 2018 transitioning from the previous location on University Boulevard and have relocated all the furniture, files, phones and more and were operational by Friday.
Phillips said that as his lease was almost complete, it was just time for a change.
“When my lease was up the time before, I entered into a new lease,” Phillips said. “And this time, I thought, ‘You know, it’s time I buy my own building.’
“I’d been looking for a while and found this building that we’re in and just moved to. It was a good price and the timing was right and the location was right. I like it being a little off of University (Boulevard). University is getting so busy that it was hard for people even to get out of my parking lot.
Phillips said he thinks the new spot will be an easier stop for customers. He also said he liked the idea of more privacy now.

“We have individual offices here. We’re dealing with financial products and insurance products and I think privacy is a big deal.
“That, plus we just like the location. It’s on the highway. I have highway frontage. I can have good signs for the highway.
“Just overall, there were lots of positives about moving here.”
