Philip Parrott

Philip “Phil” Parrott, of Kenefic, Okla., passed from this life on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020 at the age of 75. He was born on Friday, Oct. 6, 1944 in Springer, N.M. to Orvel Herman and Vera Virginia (McBride) Parrott.

Phil was very creative. He enjoyed art, sculpture, flying, watching the news and designing flowers. He was a history buff and enjoyed his time going to the Dairy Queen. He loved his dogs and family but especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Vera Virginia (McBride) Parrott; brothers: Richard, Donald, Douglas and Jimmy Parrott.

Survivors include his son, Lamar Parrott and wife Donna of Mead, Okla.; lifelong partner, Kay Parrott of Durant, Okla.; grandson, Jakob Parrott of Sherman, Texas; granddaughters: Staci Parrott and Tressa of Calera, Okla., Taylor Parrott of Edmond, Okla., Veronika Parrott of Durant, Okla., Taija Parrott of Mead, Okla.; three great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, 2020 at the University Freewill Church.
