Paul Jay Bryant passed from this life on Friday, June 20, 2025 in Seminole, OK at the age of 63. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday January 5th, 1962 to parents W.J. Bryant and Mary (Hogan) Bryant.
Paul was given the name “Bear” based upon his great style of playing football. His football ability helped lead the Lions in 1979 to one of Durant’s few state championships for which he earned all-state honors. Following graduation, Paul attended Cameron University in Lawton, OK on a football scholarship. He later owned and operated his own auto mechanic shop, “Paul’s Auto”, in Durant, OK. It has been said by many, he was one of the best mechanics during this time.
Paul was proceeded in death by his parents, W.J. Bryant and Mary Bryant, sister Pamela Pollani and grandparents.
He is survived by his brothers, Lewis Bryant and wife Teresa, Nathan Bryant and wife Melissa; sisters, Charlotte Franks and “twin sister” Paula Neely.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
