Patricia Ann (Cleveland) King was born on August 6, 1948, in Caney, Oklahoma, to Calvin Harold and BoPeep Juanita (Wells) Cleveland. Patricia joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on August 10, 2023, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the age of 75.
Patricia graduated from Atoka High School where she was an All State basketball player and Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Education degree. She taught school at Bentley in Atoka County and St. James Catholic School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She later worked for the Department of Human Services for 25 years as a social worker until her retirement. She married Roger King on July 28, 1988, in Atoka and they were truly blessed with many years until his passing. Patricia deeply loved the Lord and faithfully attended Sunday School and church. She was an avid basketball fan and she enjoyed quilting, but her greatest joy in her life was her family and she treasured the time she spent with them.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Roger King and parents Calvin, and BoPeep Cleveland.
Patricia’s legacy will continue with her daughters Shari Condict of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Traci King of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren: John Ross Thomas and wife Stefani of Houston, Texas, and Paige Nikole Cryer and husband Dakota of Ardmore, Oklahoma; great grandchildren: Nikolas Thomas, Aria Thomas, and Zelda Thomas all of Houston, Texas and Atlas Cryer of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sister, Sandy Cleveland of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Harold Cleveland and wife Terri of Florida; father of daughter Shari and friend, Johnnie Sandidge, Jr.; niece and nephews Sally Vaughn, Christopher, Kendall, and Shane Cleveland and numerous extended family and dear friends.
A funeral service in her honor was held on Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma.
