Patricia Faye Mixon, of Durant, Okla., passed away peacefully on Dec. 26, 2019 with family at her side at the age of 74.
Patricia, or as most called her “Pat”, was born on Oct. 18, 1945 to Doris Gene Russell and Alvis Rose Russell Beshirs in Durant, Okla. After graduating from Durant High School in 1963, she went on to study financing, where she worked in the industry for 43 years. In 1966, Pat married Ronald Gene Mixon, where they had one child Trish.
Patricia was a passionate reader, gardener, card player, seamstress, dancer, and shopper. She loved watching football and shared her love of music with her family. Her main passion however, was doing whatever her grandkids, Ashley and Nikki, wanted to do such as fishing, having hot dog roasts, and cooking with her in the kitchen just to name a few. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by father Doris Gene Russell, sister Janet Louise Mitchell, and mother Alvis Rose Russell Beshirs.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trish and Keith Cook of Mead, Okla.; her grandchildren, Ashley and Keaton Graham of Choctaw, Okla., Nicole Cook, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dillon Cook of Stillwater, Okla., and Victoria Cook of Durant, Okla.; her great-grandson on the way Tate Graham; her sister, Linda Levins of Durant, Okla.; half-brother, Gene Russell Jr. of Blue, Okla.; her nieces and nephew: Fred and Jill Mitchell of Lantana, Texas, Janea Mitchell of Durant, Okla., Lesley and Dan Coffey of Mead, Okla., and Stephanie Mixon Turney of Hot Springs, Ark.; her great-nieces and nephew, Madelynn and Jozelynn of Mead, Okla. and Tucker and Audrey Mitchell of Lantana, Texas. 
Visitation for Patricia Faye Mixon will be Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 from 6-7 p.m. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant. Graveside funeral service for Patricia Faye Mixon will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla. with Randy Tadlock officiating.
