DURANT – One person was flown from the site following a collision Sunday evening in Durant.

A vehicle traveling westbound was struck by another vehicle, which failed to yield crossing the highway at the intersection of Sunny Meadows Drive and West Main Street, according to the Durant Police Department.

The westbound vehicle was pulling a boat and trailer, which after the impact, went off the roadway into a yard and struck a parked car.

The driver of the unit who failed to yield, whose name was not released, was flown by AirEvac to Plano in critical condition. The driver of the unit on the highway had minor injuries, but refused transport and advised the police that they would receive help from friends to go to AllianceHealth in Durant.
