One taken by AirEvac in single vehicle wreck late Saturday

DURANT – One man was injured and listed in serious condition after his car hit a tree late Saturday evening, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Johnny Dosh III was driving eastbound on Old Highway 70 when he failed to negotiate a curve in his 1988 Chevrolet pickup. His vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Dosh was pinned for approximately 10 minutes and was freed by the Durant Fire Department. He was transported by Air Evac to Medical Center of Plano, Texas with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

The cause of the accident was speed, according to the report and his seatbelt was not in use.
