• UPDATE • It has been confirmed that Will Robinson, of Durant, has lost his life in this accident. Authorities are still looking for the person missing, who has been confirmed to be Robinson’s daughter, Clara.
GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas – One person is dead and one missing in a tragic accident on Tuesday morning in Sherman, Texas.
The Sherman Police Department posted on its Facebook page that around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday “a vehicle left the U.S. Highway 75 roadway near Taylor Street (in Sherman). It became trapped in the drainage ditch and traveled down the creek towards Houston.
“Some of the occupants have been rescued but recovery of more still trapped is ongoing.”
It has been confirmed that the family is from Durant.
Rescue efforts for the missing person have continued throughout the day and into the evening.
