DURANT – Volunteers gathered at Walmart in Durant on Wednesday evening to shop for toys for the local Toys for Tots event.
Also on hand to help with the purchase of these many gifts were members of the Okie Toy Run, whose fundraising efforts helped to finance this event.
This marks the fourth year the Okie Toy Run has donated money to help with Toys for Tots. Board members of the group were on hand at Walmart to not only help with the shopping, but also to present the Lions Club’s Toys for Tots with a check for $11,660.
This year’s giveaway will be on Saturday, Dec. 17
