Robert Warren Fullen was born in Gilmer, Texas on January 19, 1940 to Marvin Rayford Fullen and Elizabeth Cope Fullen. He passed from this life on June 25, 2018 in Sherman, Texas after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He met Norma Jackson in 1960 and they married August 18, 1961. They had 56 years and 10 months of married life. To this union were born three children. Teresa , Tammy and Tim.
After graduation from Gilmer High School in 1958, Bob joined the United States Air Force and served as a Medic. He worked for R C Can Company, Boise Cascade and Sonoco Products Company of Denison, a combination of 40 years, retiring in 2002. He was well thought of in his job and was often sent to other plants to problem solve.
Bob enjoyed working on projects in his shop, gardening and hunting and fishing. He also loved to play dominoes and other games with friends.
He is survived by his wife Norma of the home and children Teresa Fullen Khoury of Denison, Tammy Fullen Myers and husband Randy of Colbert, Okla. and son and daughter-in-law Tim and Amy Fullen of Colbert, bonus daughter; Dale Brown of Reform, Ala. One sister, Virginia Fullen White and husband James of Pittsburg Texas. Sisters-in-law Rebecca Weemes, Virginia Washer and Michael and Freida Keith all of Colbert. Linda Jackson of Denison Texas and brother in law and wife Fred and Carolyn Jackson of Cartwright, Okla. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Lisa Leming, Jared Jackson, Meagan Sweeney, Zachary Fullen, Eli Fullen, Emma Fullen, Sonny Myers and seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Rayford & Elizabeth Cope Fullen , his sister; Glenda Bynum & Joe, father-in-law & mother-in-law, Johnny & Irene Jackson, his son-in-law; Steve Khoury and brother-in-law; Hoyt Weemes.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Colbert. Officiating will be Eli Fullen and Reverend Steven Alexander. Family & friends visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 7-8 p.m. at American Funeral Service, Colbert. Interment will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Colbert. Pallbearers will be Tim Fullen, Mike Washer, Fred Jackson, Eli Fullen, Zach Fullen, Jared Jackson.
Bob loved his family and loved to aggravate them as a way of showing his affection and could always be counted on to help with any problem they might have. He will be greatly missed by all.
