Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at American Funeral Services Chapel in Colbert, Okla. for Lawrence McKinney age 86, of Calera who died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Calera Manor. Pastor Jacob Toews officiated.
Lawrence was born March 21, 1932 in Dodd City, Fannin County, Texas to Jesse Newton and Ona May Gillan McKinney. He married Pearl Cole on Aug. 12, 1960 in Denison, Texas.
He was preceded in death by wife Pearl, and he was the last of nine siblings. He is survived by his daughters Rhonda Wilson and husband Sam Wilson of Suwanee Georgia, and Laura West and husband Kenny West of Coppell Texas. Grandchildren: Joshua Wilson and wife Aly of Boston, Mass., Daniel Wilson and wife Kendall of Moyock, Va., Tarah West of Flower Mound, Texas and Jenna West of Coppell, Texas.
Also his many nieces and nephews: Steve Whitten, Darla Ross, Michael Whitten, David Bush, Edward Bush, Clifton McKinney, Ann McKinney, Rickie McKinney, Michael McKinney, and Danny McKinney.
Burial was held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert.
