Nick Olguin

Nicholas Conor Olguin, of Lewisville, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the age of 25. He was born on Thursday, September 30, 1993 in Burbank, California to Peter J. Olguin and Ann M. (Olguin) Howell.

Nick was a Carrollton Police Department Cadet and was to be sworn in August 5, 2019. His passion was being involved in the Rogue Jiu Jitsu Studio in Flower Mound, Texas. He had accomplished his purple belt. He enjoyed working out and weight lifting. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marines from August 2012 until 2017. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John D. Fitzgerald in California and his paternal grandmother, Betty A. Olguin in New Mexico.

Survivors include his mother Ann M. Howell and husband Lanny D. Howell of Carrolton, Texas; father Peter J. Olguin of Plano, Texas; maternal grandmother Margaret T. Fitzgerald of Los Angeles, California; paternal grandfather Nicholas P. Olguin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Godparents Chris Olguin of Las Vegas, Nevada and Beatriz Fitzgerald of Moorepark, California; 4 maternal aunts and uncles in Los Angeles, California; 4 paternal aunts and uncles in Albuquerque, New Mexico; 8 cousins in California and Texas as well as a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2019 at St. Ann Catholic Parish, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell, Texas 75019. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM at the Rogue Jiu Jitsu Studio (inside Crossfire Defense Academy); 801 Patriot Way, Flower Mound, Texas 75028

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fisher House or to Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS).
