New positive COVID-19 case reported in Bryan County, first in Bennington

The number of confirmed cases that have tested positive in Bryan County has risen to nine.

It had been a few days since a new case had been reported through the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s website. The person testing positive is said to be from Bennington – the first positive case from the town. (There have also been two positive cases reported in Boswell.)

The overall number for Bryan County now moves to nine with five in Durant (of which two are reported as recovered*), three in Mead (of which one has been reported as recovered and one has died) and now one in Bennington.

* A recovery is defined as someone currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
