Multi-vehicle pileup on 69/75 southbound in Calera

10:50 a.m.] – The road has been cleared for traffic.

Calera police chief Don Hyde expressed his gratitude to all the agencies that helped in the clean-up.

“Many thanks to BRYAN County EMS, Calera Fire and Rescue, Colbert Police Department, Colbert EMS, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol,” Hyde said. “Special thanks to them for their response time.

“And special thanks to all the local wreckers and their response time and I sincerely mean that we could not have gotten that roadway cleared without them.”


9:45 a.m.] – The traffic at the site of the accident is flowing slowly, but moving. One lane is open with multiple police and OHP vehicles on site. There are only two disabled vehicles left at the scene, including a van in the ditch to the right of the southbound highway (69/75) and a FedEx semi with two trailers.

The accident took place about a mile south of the construction area in Calera.


8:59 a.m.] – BRYAN COUNTY – An accident involving at least 19 vehicles took place this morning on U.S. Highway 69/75 in Calera, according to police chief Don Hyde.

The police were working an incident involving a semi in a ditch when they were informed of an additional accident. As of this writing, there have been no casualties, according to Hyde.
