More than 50 active cases in county

BRYAN COUNTY – The year-to-date number of positive cases in Oklahoma continues to be monitored.

On the Oklahoma State Department of Health website, there has been a discrepancy in the numbers reported for Bryan County according to the ‘View Data by County’ tab and the ‘View Data by City’ tab. The Patriot has been and will be reporting both.

The County Data shows 146 confirmed positive cases with 89 recoveries* and one death attributed to COVID-19, leaving 56 as active cases. Bryan County is listed as having the 20th most cases in 77 counties in the state.

The City Data shows nine cities/towns in the county to be reporting a total of 141 cases with 88 recoveries and one death, which means 52 active cases.

DURANT | 82 positive cases (49 recoveries)
CALERA | 15 positive cases (10 recoveries)
MEAD | 10 positive cases (4 recoveries, 1 death)
CADDO | 9 positive cases (5 recoveries)
COLBERT | 9 positive cases (6 recoveries)
BENNINGTON | 7 positive cases (6 recoveries)
BOKCHITO | 5 positive cases (5 recoveries)
ACHILLE | 3 positive cases (2 recoveries)
KENEFIC | 1 positive case (1 recovery)

* Recoveries are defined as those currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
