Mona (McGehee) Foster was born on Friday, October 15, 1954 in Hugo, Oklahoma to parents Glynn McGehee and Louise (Petty) McGehee. She passed from this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Durant at the age of 71.
Mona grew up and was a graduate of Valliant High School in Valliant, Oklahoma. After high school, she furthered her education at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant but finalized her degree at Central State University in Edmond. Mona was an educator until the late 80s before her employment with North Texas Job Corps in McKinney, Texas for several years. Mona enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clyde McGehee.
Mona is survived by her daughter, Michelle Foster of Rochester, New Hampshire; two brothers: Charles McGehee and his wife Joyce of Millerton, Oklahoma, and Roger McGehee and his wife Theresa of Durant, Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation services were selected and Mona’s family will have services at a later date.
