Millie Jo Armstrong, 87, of Kingston, Okla., passed away on Dec. 22, 2020 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill. She was born on Nov. 23, 1933 in Kingston, Okla. to the late Silas Franklin Gorrell and Beulah Dowdy Gorrell.
Millie was raised in Kingston where she graduated high school in 1952. She married Lee Roy Armstrong on Aug. 23, 1952 in Madill and he preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2004.
Millie traveled with Lee Roy due to the construction business and they moved back to Kingston in 1958. She worked as the City Clerk/City Treasurer for 32 years for the City of Kingston and she was a member of the Kingston United Methodist Church and the Kingston Alumni Association. Millie enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing but her greatest love was her family.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Donnell Duke; brothers: John Sterling Gorrell and Silas Hughlon Gorrell.
She is survived by children: Cheryl Uber and husband Crockett of Kingston, Okla., Rhonda Schulze and husband Bruce o Kingston, Okla., Pamela Morton and husband Derrick of Edmond, Okla., Michael Armstrong of Kingston, Okla.; grandchildren: Aaron Means of Kingston, Okla., Kyle Uber and wife Kari of Denison, Texas, Philip Morton and wife Leslie of Edmond, Okla., Paul Morton and wife Jordan of Edmond, Okla., Joel Uber and wife Julie of Edmond, Okla., Micah Schulze and wife Chelsea of Canyon, Texas, Garrett Schulze of Valliant, Okla., Ali Armstrong of Lexington, Okla.; 11 great-grandchildren: Nate Uber, Anna Uber, Ethan Ballard, Violet Morton, Hazel Morton, Henry Morton, Hannah Morton, Emily Morton, Wyatt Uber, Baker Uber and Elizabeth Schulze and sister, Dora Frances Splawn of Madill, Okla.
There will be a private family service.
Arrangements will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
