Mickey Joyce Askew, 78, of Calera, Okla., peacefully passed away at her residence on Friday, December 29, 2023. Mickey was born on January 27, 1945 in Texas to Roy Lee Vickery and Vera (Opry) Vickery.
She was a high school graduate. She spent her time at home raising her family and caring for them and friends. She will be greatly missed by her loved one.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Vera Vichery and her husband, Delbert Bryce Askew in 1995.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kevin Askew of Calera, Okla., Shannon Askew of Calera, Okla., Brent Askew of Calera, Okla.; three sisters: Martha Pointer of Dallas, Texas, Vera of Comanche, Texas, Sue Room and George of Dallas, Texas; her brother: Ray Vickery and Debbie; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at American Funeral Service in Denison, Texas.
