Michael “Shane” Hamill

Michael “Shane” Hamill, of Odessa, Texas passed from this life on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at the age of 51. He was born on Monday, Aug. 17, 1970 in Durant, Okla. to Albert Luther Hamill and Mickey Ann (Coulter) Bruce.

He was a longtime resident of Odessa, Texas. He previously resided in Durant, Okla. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, riding horses, and being out with friends.

He was preceded in death by his father. Albert Luther Hamill; mother, Mickey Ann (Coulter) Bruce; step-father, Donald Bruce; grandparents: Tommy Lee McDonald, Melvin Coulter, Lillian Hamill, Carl Hamill, Sr. and Rosie Coulter.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Graham of the home; sons, Michael Jacoby Hamill of Odessa, Texas, Jarred Graham and wife Bianca of Odessa, Texas, Zachary Shane Hamill of Odessa, Texas; brothers, Roy Don Bruce and wife Alma of Clarksville, Tenn., Walter Lee Hamill, Durant, Okla. and Dalton Lee Bruce of Calera, Okla. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 at the Live Oak Pentecostal Church in Durant, Okla. A graveside service will follow at the Mead Cemetery. Terry Benson, Roger Williams, Kevin Renfro, Tim Ussery, Randy Bully Jr., and Dakota Ussery will serve as pallbearers.
