Merry Christmas to District 19

By Rep. Justin Humphrey

I truly appreciate the constituents of District 19, and I pray you all have a blessed and joyful Christmas. This season is a time to reflect on God’s love, to remember those who are less fortunate, those who have lost loved ones, and families who may be separated during the holidays, including those with loved ones who are incarcerated.

I am grateful for those who protect and serve District 19: community law enforcement, firefighters, pastors and all who faithfully serve. In our community, we make it a priority to give back by volunteering at the prison during the holidays, sharing hope, encouragement and the love of Christ.

As we celebrate, let us keep our hearts focused on the true meaning of Christmas, remembering the words of Scripture:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
—Isaiah 9:6

Wishing you peace, hope and abundant blessings this Christmas season.
