Merle Dean Taylor, 79, of Durant, Okla., passed away with his loving wife and son by his side, on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 at Calera Manor, Calera, Okla. Merle was born on March 22, 1940 in Pampa, Texas to Bethel Taylor and Lotcie Carter Taylor.
He married Nancy DeMoss in Borger, Texas, on July 7, 1961. He owned an auto parts store and was self-employed in Borger. He was a Christian and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bethel and Lotcie Taylor.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Nancy Taylor; his son, Dean Taylor and wife Davida of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Jerry Taylor and wife Sandra of Houston, Texas and Bobbie Taylor and wife Cathy of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren: Maghan Taylor and husband Bobby Gessner of Victoria, Texas, Consuela Bland and husband Nick of New Braunfels, Texas, Maxwell Taylor of Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren, other extended family and friends.
