Melba Kathleen (Wingfield) Love, a resident of Calera, Okla., left this life at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on May 21, 2023 at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 12 days. She was born in Caddo, Okla., on December 9, 1946 to Edmond Lee and Kathleen Belle (Goad) Wingfield. Melba married the love of her life, LD “Rastus” Love January 14, 1967 at Achille Baptist Church. 
Melba was a wife, mother granny and caregiver. She worked as Director of the Chickasaw Community Center in Achille, Okla. Melba loved serving her Lord and being a member of The New Life Assembly of God Church in Calera, Okla.
Melba is survived by her loving son, Eric and wife Emily; grandchildren, John Luke, Whitlee Jo, and Gatlin Dale; her siblings, Harold Wingfield and wife Dean of Calera, Okla., Frank Wingfield and wife Connie of Achille, Okla., twin sister, Nelda Robb and husband Carrol of Randolph, Texas, Frances Ballard and husband Butch of Colbert, Okla., Sue (Bird) Lewis of Achille, Okla., Lou Marksberry of Achille, Okla., Steve Wingfield and wife Candy of Bokchito, Okla., Phyllis Hall and husband Gary of Colbert, Okla., Joanne Canaday and husband Nathan of Calera, Okla., Johnny Wingfield and wife Lavonda of Calera, Okla.; niece, Belinda Irvin of Dumas, Texas; close friend, Pat Mosley of Bonham, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family member and friends.
Melba was preceded in death by her husband, LD “Rastus” Love in 2017; parents, Edmond and Kathleen Wingfield; brothers, Dewey Wingfield and “Sonny” Earl Park Wingfield and sister, Yvonne Lacey.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at New Life Assembly in Calera, Okla. with Pastor Stephen Biggerstaff and Pastor David Sanders officiating. Interment at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. Pallbearers were Jerry Ford, Grady Ford, Ronny Ford, Christopher Robb, James Bird, Corey Stephens.
