Megan Springer

Megan Jaunell Springer was born September 25, 1983, to Timmy and Donna Lee (Phillips) Williams in Denison, Texas. Megs departed from this world unexpectedly this past Friday, November 18, 2022, at the tender age of 39.

She was an active student at Atoka Schools, graduating in 2001. Megan quickly developed a very favorable reputation for her sweet spirit, tangible kindness, and the willingness to serve others readily. She carried a powerful “spark” of life that others loved instantly. Megan knew not a stranger wherever she went, always lifting others up with warm encouragement.

She married the love of her life, Orrin Springer in Caddo, Okla., on April 11, 2008. Their love has grown stronger every day, enjoying being fishing partners in the great outdoors. They believed for their beloved son, Ransom Tell, for many years. Megan delighted in being a mother to such a smart and most helpful boy! She was known for a green thumb talent, growing all species of flowers that were passed down generationally by the family.

She worked diligently as a Licensing Agent for Choctaw Nation Gaming Commission at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Anyone going or coming to do business in the Durant Casino went through her office.

Megan’s greatest activity was being a wonderful mom, wife, daughter, and friend. She loved people with her whole heart. We miss her presence deeply. Here are a few glimpses of Megs through the eyes of those closest to her in recent Facebook posts:

“You don’t prepare yourself to say goodbye to your loved ones. My sister-in-law Megs Springer was called home to be with the Lord yesterday. You’d know she was a special part of our family, especially if you ever asked her before, she reminded me every time we got together. Her laughter was contagious, and I promise you she was always laughing, joking, or giving someone hell about something. For me she gave me hell 100% of the time, but I kinda started that the first time I met her. Our hearts are hurting right now but know you will always be there. It’s hard to take it in right now, and I know you will always be watching down over us. Thank you to everyone that has reached out to our family in this time and thank you for all the kind words and prayers. Hold it down up there for us sis but know you will be missed down here so much by so many; we love you.” – Little Brother (TJ Springer)

“I am still in shock… Megan was such a precious person. She loved her family with a passion and would do anything to help someone in need. Absolutely precious.” – Aunt Connie Springer Carroll

“To say I’m still at an utter loss for words is an understatement. Megs was the absolute most loving person around and had a smile to light up the whole room. No matter the time of day if you needed her, she was there. Family was her whole world, and nothing would ever change that. If you knew her, you knew how much she loved her husband and that sweet boy who she spoiled beyond words. I will miss picking on each other, laughing so hard to the point of tears, crying together, watching the kids being wild together. I miss you more than words can express, and I know you’re watching over us. I’ll try to keep the boys in-line. I love you sis.” – Haley Springer

“Oh sweet Megs Springer, I don’t even have the words to say what’s in my heart. I’m still having a hard time believing you’re gone. Just know I cherished our friendship. You always knew if I was having a bad day or didn’t feel good and I would be blessed with one of your hugs. It’s not going to be the same at work not seeing you, but I will always remember your sweet smile and laugh. I was blessed to call you my friend. Until I see you again.” – Dalene Phillips Wright
