Maxie (Hicks) Rogers, of Caddo, Okla., passed from this life on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born on Friday, June 1, 1934 in Caddo to Clarence H.and Mary Jane (Jacob) Hicks.
She was a a longtime resident of Caddo. She was a LVN and of the Nazarene faith. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, making crafts, painting and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She was an avid cat and animal lover. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence H. and Mary Jane (Jacob) Hicks; husband, James William Dillard; brothers: C.H. Hicks, James Hicks and Keith Hicks; brother, Curtis Hicks, passed away one day after her passing; son-in-law, Jack Gockel; daughter-in-law, Phillis Hicks; sister-in-law, Barbara Hicks; brother-in-law, Troy Tucker.
Survivors include her daughters: Margie Cheramie and husband Curtis of Bennington, Okla,, Patricia Ann Gockel of Bently, Okla.; son, Bill Dillard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters: Mary Nell Tucker of Durant, Okla., Mara Nell Sutterfield of Durant, Okla.; brothers: Geary Hicks of Eufaula, Okla., Travis Hicks and wife Mary of Durant, Okla.; sister-in-law, Patsy Hicks of Caddo, Okla., Elizabeth Ann Hicks; grandchildren: Denise Potter, Mike Holiday, Chris Orozco, Sandy Claus, Carrie Ehlanfeldt, John Dillard, William Dillard and Nathan as well as 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren on the way and numerous nieces, and nephews.
A visitation and viewing will be held prior to the service, 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Caddo, Okla.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Caddo with Bro. Clifford Joines officiating. Chris Orozco, Christopher Orozco, Ben Walker, Sam Walker, John Roupe and Lance Hicks will serve as pallbearers. A graveside service will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo.
