Maudie Mae Baker Devora, 78 of Madill, Okla., passed away on February 12, 2021. She was born on December 21, 1942 in Malvern, Ark. to the late Jessie William Baker and Lela Emma Howard Baker.
Maudie was raised in Malvern where she graduated high school. She later moved to New Mexico, Bokchito, Okla. and Pottsboro, Texas before moving to Madill where she lived the past 30 years. Maudie married Jose Devora and he preceded her in death. She owned and operated the Burger Hut for several years and later working with her daughter at “The Hut” on East Main.
Maudie was a member of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God in Durant, Okla. and she enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing and crocheting. Her greatest love were her cats and her grandchildren.
She is survived by children: Pam Boyd and husband Phillip of Mead, Okla., Charles Tadlock of Madill, Okla., Lisa Tadlock of New Jersey; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Maudie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter; Marsha Van Buren, and great grandson; Ryder Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Phillip Boyd will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma.
Service will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
